WristBrief Support
WristBrief records your day on Apple Watch, and meetings on iPhone too. Your iPhone turns it into a transcript on device, tells voices apart, reviews each day, remembers what you promised, and answers what you ask. There's no account and no server.
Getting started
- Recording on the watch. Open WristBrief on Apple Watch and tap to start. Tap again to mark a moment; hold for a second to stop. You can also start from a complication, the Action button, Control Center or Siri. Lower your wrist and talk as usual; it keeps recording even when your iPhone isn't nearby.
- Recording a meeting on iPhone. Tap record in WristBrief on iPhone. Only one of the two records at a time: when the iPhone starts, the watch hands over, and it's offered back when the iPhone stops.
- Getting recordings to iPhone. While the iPhone is nearby, recordings move to it every few minutes. When it's out of reach they wait on the watch, which stops recording before it runs out of space.
- Transcripts and reviews. Transcription happens on your iPhone, often while it's idle or charging. Each day gets a review, and promises become to-dos with reminders.
- Ask. Ask on iPhone, or hold the button on your watch and ask aloud: your iPhone answers from what was said, with the lines it's based on.
- Places and the map. With "Note where you go" on in Settings, every recording belongs to a place, and the map shows where things were said.
- AI services. Reviews and answers use Apple's on-device model, or a cloud service you set up in Settings → AI with your own key. In mainland China, only services based there can be chosen.
- Backup. Your recordings aren't in the iPhone's own backup. Use Settings → Backup to save a backup file somewhere you trust; open that file with WristBrief to restore it.
When something isn't right
- The watch won't record. Open WristBrief on your iPhone once and agree to the privacy policy and terms; the watch waits for that.
- Recordings don't arrive. Keep the iPhone nearby and open WristBrief on it once; the watch sends what's waiting.
- Transcripts are slow. Leave the iPhone charging for a while; transcription catches up.
- An answer or review is wrong. What the app writes can be mistaken: check it against the recording, which is always there to play.
Requirements
